Introduction to body movement, rhythm, and musicality. Dancers learn to properly stretch, follow instructions, learn choreography, and begin basic ballet technique (including ballet foot positions, skips, leaps, chasse, and floorwork). Dress code: leotard, pink ballet slippers, hair pulled back.
This class combines the dance foundations and grace of ballet, with expressive contemporary and energetic jazz! Dancers will be challenged with a skill chart to help them advance their ballet steps, locomotor movements, and tricks. This class is sure to keep dancers progressing and positively engaged! Dress code: leotard, tan jazz shoes, hair pulled back.
This class provides a safe and creative space to enhance social skills, communication (verbal and non-verbal), and motor development for individuals of all abilities. Dancers and their chaperone are encouraged to participate in activities that explore the dynamics of rhythm and music. Our curriculum is based upon principles gathered collectively from Applied Behavior Analysis, Early Childhood Special Education, Occupational and Music therapies, and Autism Movement Therapy. Dress code: activewear, dance shoes or socks. *Chaperone required.
A popular style of street dance, commonly performed to hip hop/rap/funk music. This style combines a variety of freestyle movements, usually consisting of popping, locking, and breaking… not to mention tricks! This laid-back style allows dancers to let-loose and focus on expression, rather than perfect technique. The level of fun and creativity makes this our most popular class! Dress code: activewear (pants preferred), jazz or tennis shoes.
This class focuses solely on advanced leaps, jumps, turns, tumbling, and tricks often seen in advanced dance routines. Tumbling equipment and safety practices ensure you’re learning these acrobatics in a safe environment. With the guidance and encouragement from our gymnastics coaches, you’re sure to perfect those tricks in no time! Dress code: activewear or leotard (pants preferred for tricks), dance shoes, hair pulled back. Drop-in’s welcome!
